Sydney Day 3!!! the whole day was spent at Bondi Beach. the best beach i've ever been to!!!!!!!!!! wish i could do the a picture says a thousand things thing here, but the pics i took just totally dun do the beach any justice. i wouldn really call the beach pristine, cos the water wasnt that clear, but the beach was clean. really. there were no cigarette butts littering the sand everywhere like at the beaches in singapore and no broken bottles n junk like that. the only thing that was all over the place were the blue bottles. winnie can tell u all about them..haha...poor girl lah.. what a bad experience after such a nice day. the waves were WOW. i can only describe them in that way because out there, i really got trashed by the waves.realllyyy it was so hard to get further away from shore cos the waves kept pushing you back and they wiped me out sooo many times cos i dunno how to ride the waves like the aussies can. but then, when u got a body board, thats a whole different story. you walk out further, skip the small and medium ones and u wait for a nice big wave..and when it comes u face the shore and u let u sweep u alllllll the way back...managed to catch a good wave a few times..haha super fun!!! the view of the horizon was breathtaking. i have not seen such a clean, endless horizon before!!! all the horizons in singapore either have a metal gate there to prevent illegal immigrants from swimming ashore or are dotted with ships. winnies sand man. i think its cool and freaky. postcard picturisque no pics of us cos dear winnie dun let. hahaha Thing of the day!!!~the whole beach thing today!!!! including the food!! if u every go to bondi, you have to try the calamari at Surfish. please dun feel shy to be compelled to pull the rubbery connective tissue of the squid ring ya. and including my 2 nice tops for $29 bargain!!! i love Bondi Beach!!!! =D

Sydney day2 Thing of the day definitely had to be the play that we watched.cos the only other place that we went to was the Powerhouse Museum and it couldn have been that cos the museum wasnt really what i expected and it was kinda disappointing. the trip there was rather interesting/fun tho. walked from the city to the museum and along the way we passed by chinatown the view of part of the chinatown area. see that weird bald tree on the right side. its apparently some 100 or 1000 year old (cant remember)tree..a eualyptus i think..and its been made into some special sculpture that incorporates the elements water, earth, wood, fire and signify harmony or something other. it drips water from the top and imo the whole thing is jus a bit weird and not very aesthetically pleasing. anyways, there was this factory outlet shopping center along the way and so of course we went to see what good stuff we could gather. and amazingly, i bought something at dangerfield!and it was cheap!!!first time leh!!love that shop but can never find anything suitable/affordable..nevermind that the cute special pink miniskirt was size12..im not size12!!!!it jus had a small cut =P n winnie bought a cool red jacket wif the famous japanese tsunami wave printed on it. go asian love! the way to the powerhouse museum was hard and ardurous. we walked through this because it looked like a short cut and we could save the train fare and so it seemed like a good idea. but we ended up getting a biology practical on dispersal of seeds by animals. those damn things were not funny, they were damn sharp and there were that x10 all over the bottom of my skirt!!!and i though how come winnie never kena ahh, until i saw this thought the museum would have a lota cool sciencey gadgety things for u to experiment with but there were hardly any and instead there was a lot of design stuff on display they had a kylie exhibition tho, and at least that was kinda interesting thats me trying to do a kylie.haha ok i bluffed. im not gona talk much about MALE FULL FRONTAL NUDITY. all im gona say is,we wanted to watch this play about nuns at the opera house but everything this week was sold out so we decided to watch a play tts in line with the mardi gras festival tts going on right now cos it sounded interesting! Loveplay "A darkly hilarious romp through 2000 years of desire that follows a trail of sexual encounters that take place at the same spot. Over the centuries the location becomes a Roman temple, a medieval abbey, and a modern dating agency. The constant fact is the quest, often doomed, for love and sex in a range of gay and straight relationships. " it wasn rated and there was no warning about nudity at all so it was totally unexpected.basically, it was one guy on exhibition in the center of the stage for about 10mins.the other character involved in this was a 33yr old female scientist who had never seen a naked man before and so she paid this guy to let her look at him. so in case u were wondering about whether it was a steamy sex scene with 2guys or smth like that, wipe that mental picture away now! hahahaa ok i ended up talking quite a lot in the end. the whole play experience itself was very interesting. cos this festival is kinda big, with banners along the streets and fireworks kinda big, i expected its events to be well, rather mainstream if i might say. but the place where it was held was this place off oxford street (which is a happy area) and at this art gallery with a small theatre behind. the stage wasnt actually a stage but jus the floor and it seated about 50people. the play was very upfront, bold, and strong. and the actors were really good and convincing. it was a very indie production which was cool cos i dun really see much indie stuff..for $20, it was very worth it.

Sydney!!!! Day 1 winnie's done great summaries of the day if u dun wana see my looonng looonnngg commentaries =P . DAY 1 after waking up at about 1030ish (tts my kind of wakeup time man) we took a walk around the chatswood area (thats where winnies nice place is =D)and went into a couple of malls..pretty standard stuff. i said "this looks so australia" and well yea like duh but heh it jus really does.maybe clare will understand what i mean. anyways, then we took the train to the city and first stop was Queen Victoria Building and as you can see, we were there on 21feb =D the pic of the clock doesnt look too great here, but its really much nicer in real QVB has got the be the prettiest shopping center i've ever seen! i dont even feel right when i call it shopping center..more like a shopping arcade or smth..its all victorian style and its all the posh brands inside. took this photo somewhere outside qvb. nothing much of significance except that thats the sydney tower behind and its a really nice picture. next was our/my quest to find the perfect bikini..u know sydney=beaches and i need one if i wana go to the beach and i dont have a proper one! after visiting numerous surf shops and finding nothing but crappy ones...i found the perfect one!!!!! but thats all you're gona hear about the bikini from me. hah. straight after,
i didnt know that the harbour bridge and the opera house are soo close to each other! i have to say this, when i saw the harbour bridge on my left, and then to my nice surprise see the very familiar looking opera house when i turned to look to the right, it was only right then that i truly felt that i indeed was in sydney. hahaha lil cliche that sounds, but it was really quite a thrill to see THE harbour bridge and THE opera house right there in front of my face!! fantistique picture, all credit goes to winnie! and look, thats the harbour bridge behind me!! hehheh guess whats that!?! looks a bit like bathroom tiles right =P thats what the opera house is made of!!!hahaha but it looks really nice from far lah..it kinda changes colour depending on the position of the sun too. wanted to watch this play about nuns at the opera house but everything this week was sold out so we decided to watch a play tts in line with the mardi gras festival tts going on right now..but more about that later..tune in if you want to hear about MALE FULL FRONTAL NUDITY. walked all around the harbour area, had dinner at this place called cafe extra and its newspaper themed..the menu is printed like a newspaper. they had this $18 special. 3main courses to choose from with champaign or red wine or a soft drink..i had spinach n ricotta ravioli with tomato sauce..it wasn very nice.at all. i told winnie that actually, ive never tasted nice ravioli, and she told me to try some from the supermarket. i dont really believe her until i try it for myself. went for a cruise down the harbour and around the surrounding waters along the city. it was really nice! the view of the city at night was so beautiful, but my camera's lousy and had no battery and this was the best shot of the night. pretty crap. we went past all these huge ass mansions and there were heaps of yatchs and ships!!! yea ships!!!not the cruise liner kind but like those were about 5 times the size of a normal yatch and the sails were really high..oh mannn..makes me wana work damn hard next time and be damn rich and buy a house by the sea and buy my own ship too!!!! haha so yea that was about it for day1...was pretty dead tired by the time we got back.. Thing of the day!!!~view of the harbour bridge and the opera house

L is for the way you look at me... you want to know what happened to my flower??? i tell you! the poor flower didnt last the treacherous journey through town..as the day went by..it slowly lost more and more of its petals...we were in the adidas shop..(where me n win bought a bag each =D) and when i looked down on the floor..there were its petals strewn all over the floor!!! by the time i got home, it only had about 5 or 6 petals left. boo i like valentines day! for all those who dislike all the crass commercialisation that its brought about, i say, its precisely the commercialisation thats made it fun! i mean, i really agree with jacq, valentines day 2004 in sa was really the funnest. a weeks worth of people selling balloons, lil gifts, and flowers in the cafe meant that you were bound to receive a balloon or 2 and aplenty of chocs and lil presents on vday. with all these sweet things all around, it really does feel like love is in the air! as unsuperficial as i hope myself to be, these things really do matter and these small gestures really do make v day so much more special and memorable than any other. whether its a hershey kiss or a slightly limp gerbera, it did make a difference and it made someone happy. who says a girl needs a bouquet of 99 roses that costs $400 on valentines day to make her happy. we know its overpriced. we know its overpriceness is ridiculous and we know its going to start decaying in a week. (i personally think a bouquet of 99roses is actually quite ugly cos all the roses are squashed and the bouquet is so overcrowded.) a single overpriced rose will do. really, the gesture still really will be appreciated even though its only one rose. i guess a lot of this is only applicable if youre still in school, where friends buy presents for each other and all that..so yea..oh well..but i guess people at work could do it too, ..maybe i'll buy everyone at work chocolates next time.. adults always forget how it is to be youthful and how to be nice to each other..its true!!those in the rat race at least.. but thats another issue. meanwhile..O is for the only one I see. V is very, very extraordinary. E is even more than anyone that you can adore....... ~.~.~.~ No words can say how much you mean to me, Our love is even deeper than the sea. Cheesy as this poem might be, If it made you smile, that's good enough for me! *teehee* =D Thing of the day!!!~that msg at 5.14pm
