Lasts and Firsts i just wrote a list of things that i normally do in the week, but only that its special cos its the last week of school and hence the last time theyre gonna happen. But it was really boring so i deleted the whole thing. basically, what i meant to say was, no more chemistry, physics and zoology pracs for me. and no more pure science lectures too, hopefully. and also hopefully i get into vet next year and so this might be the last week i'll be at the parkville campus. i handed in my zoology artwork on monday! wooohooooo!!! no more hours and hours of drawing!! oh the pain of unnatural circumstances! but im quite proud of my drawings really.. at least after spening that much time on them, they actually look good!.. maybe i'll post my doggy skulls and lion leg, etc pictures when i get the book back =D i like my doggy skull..hehheh i did something for the first time last week, and as with all things done for the first time, i think its worth mentioning, regardless of whether its good or bad. i missed a test for the first time in my life last friday. ive overslept things before, no point trying to hide that, and im really not proud of it and you would think that i would learn right! but no, apparently, different things can happen to make me oversleep things. so yes, definitely not the first time i overslept..(it was a typical ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod moment when i woke up and saw the time) but it was definitely the first time i actually overslept a test. ive never even come close to missing a test before!!! it was a physics test worth 3.3% and the night before i was occupied with an event and so i did not get the chance to study and when i came home, i tried to study till about 2am, gave up then and decided to wake up at 6ish-7 to finish studing then go take the test at 9am. i got awoken by the alarm at about 6.30 but when i woke up, i was really soooo tired,..its not just the sleepy feeling, it was really the not enough sleep feeling..so i thought i put the alarm to 7am..but the next thing i knew, it was 9.50am. i went for my chemistry lecture and i was feeling really crap.. then after some consideration and encouragement, i decided to not screw the 3.3% and go look for the lecturer to at least try to take the test that i did not study for. so i did. and when i met the lecturer, i said " i wasnt able to make it to the test today, is there any way that i can take it?" and the lecturer said "no, im afraid not" so i was like.."oh..umm.." and i just stood there for a second or 2.. Then the lecturer said "actually, why not since youre already here. the test is really for your own feedback" and he let me take the test there and then in his office. he even let me alone in his office to go get a coffee and said if i finish before he gets back, just lock the door behind me. wow. the lecturer actually let a student alone in his office. i felt like a veronica mars right then.. like wow this could have all been a ploy to get some secret stuff from the professor's office. haha anyway, i think i messed up on the test but im glad i took it anyway. and im really glad that the nature of the system here is really so kind. the whole culture is totally different from back home when exams were set to make you.. bleed. yea.. Thing of the day!!!~scene: nice hot sunny day, pool in front, lounging around on a deck chair, coconut juice in hand. today was hot but it was not nice and there was no pool, no deck chair, and no coconut juice.

Libs promise free student transport October 22, 2006 02:37pm THE Victorian Liberals would make public transport free for almost all students in the state, under a $285 million election pledge unveiled today. Victorian Opposition Leader Ted Baillieu said the policy would mean free public transport for students across the state, including on V/Line and regional bus services. "This helps students and we want to push education. This helps families and indeed we think this will assist in getting the message over that the more people who use public transport the better," Mr Baillieu said. "I hope it sends a clear message to students and to young people in Victoria that the public transport system is both accessible and affordable." Mr Baillieu said he expected the move would encourage more people to use public transport, with flow-on effects for the environment. Under the policy most primary, secondary and tertiary students would travel free. The only students to miss out will be those currently ineligible for a public transport concession card, including overseas, part-time and postgraduate students. -.- politics is mean shit. continuing to not give internation students consession and giving local students FREE PUBLIC TRANSPORT is a sure way to get more votes. we cant vote anyway, and, government money isnt being wasted on us, im sure people will be happy about that. i wonder if ted baillieu is somehow related to the baillieu library. Today i dissected a pigeon (and last week i dissected a toad) do you know that there is such a thing as pigeon races??!?! how bored can people get! seriously..tsk.. anyway, the bird i cut up today used to be a racing pigeon, and then, it did't race anymore. i took a picture of my pigeon before i disected it..but it doesnt look like much so i wont even bother putting it up.. unfortunately i forgot to take any after photos..soo..thats a shame.. i think disecting animals is actually kinda fun..it's kinda gross..but not as gross as i used to think it was.. heck i dont even bother with gloves cos they make it harder to do what youre trying to do (eg, pluck feathers out, rip skin back, scrape muscle off, etc )..yea there's a downside to that..your hands smell like dead meat after..but theres always lemon juice! anyway, there's really no experience like seeing guts in real life, in their actual positions relative to all the other organs..it really does look like the diagrams in the textbook! i think im being haunted by the pigeon now cos everytime i close my eyes i see the pigeons muscles being ripped apart and the bones n stuff...and thats kinda freaking me out more than when i was actually doing it.. hmmm..anyway it's really interesting stuff still and i think they shouldnt have taken dissections out of the jc syllabus. on a side note, i heard the most ridiculous thing today. this zoology subject that im doing was actually supposed to have a zoo excursion, but it got cut back this year as the department was told to cut back on expenses. that is simply...i am simply flabbergasted. melbourne uni has the largest number of international students in australia and yet we are short on the dough. nonsense!! seriously, we pay so much and such a large proportion of students in melbourne uni are international fee paying students! the entrance fee is 15 dollars per student..seriously that is a weeeeeennny fraction of the fees we pay!!! we've been shortchanged. thing of the day!!!~ dissections!

Krispy Kreme!!!!!!! ok i am officially offering to buy krispy kremes back for whoever wants them!!!! actually..the last time i brought home a box of originals and a box of assorteds..but like i din know who and how to give them to people..so in the end they stayed in my fridge for a long time..hahaha anyway, to those unacquainted with these things called krispy kremes..they are the most sinful and most wonderfully fantastically delicious donuts you can ever have =D theyre called krispy kremes because theyre coated with a layer of kreme which is krispy..hahaha actually the layer is icing so actually..singapore weather is really not ideal for krispy kremes cos over here in melb you can just leave the donuts outside for a couple of days in the box and they still taste as good..but krispy kremes in singapore room temperature is disastrous!!!the sugar totally melts all over the place so you have to put it in the fridge..but when u do that the sugar becomes a bit too hard and the dough itself becomes cold and hard too..and its supposed to be soft and fluffy. anyway, apparently there is a method to warming up cold krispy kremes..put it in the microwave for 10secs or something but i dont know the formula for warming up cold krispy kremes so..must experiment.haha.. anyway each original has 200calories and assorteds range from 210-380 soo you might wana consider that every time you pop a krispy kreme..not that im discouraging anyone from those heavenly things..haha soo yea..do you want krispy kremes?original or assorted?about how many?1?2?10?!?! hahaha.. tell me ya.. =D winnieeee i know u want =D hahaha.. can only buy them in a dozen original/box or a dozen assorted/box sooo..depending on the demand i'll decide whether to get originals or assorted =D if enough people want both then i'll get both lah..i just dont want to end up with cold krispy kremes in my fridge for weeks again..hahaha cant wait to go home!!!! flight tickets currently booked for 26nov..but me has to look for an apartment to say next year..im moving out of hogwarts =x sooo hopefully i can find a place quickly after the exams..if not i might have to delay my flight home.. Thing of the day!!!~The Moon!!! its so big and round! hahaha
