2006 in Short because i have no time to go on with elaborate elaborations. things that have made a mark in my year.. no. 1 floods. this year has been one of the dryest years in aussie..winter seemed to end earlier than usual and the weather was generally much warmer. after spending much of the year in an urban drought, i came back to water wonderland. we all know how its been raining pretty much non stop this whole month and singapore even flooded! but singapore's floods are really not that scary when compared to this i took this when travelling back to port dickson for christmas and it was scary to see the flood right next to the highway.. there were several more areas flooded along the way and some places even had floods right up to the roof of houses. thank goodness it didnt rain somemore or the floods would have spilled onto the highway and i wouldn have been able to come home!! haha.. ok its no laughing matter. anyway, actually, the floods that im referring to isnt about these recent floods. what im talking about is this scary flood that happened when i was in gold coast for my easter break. yes that unfinished blog post never talked about the scariest thing that happened to me all year. more scary than any rollercoaster can scary u. yes..it was scary because we thought we would have to fork out a couple thousand dollars for damage repair for the spoilt carpets. but thankfully all ended well and the owner didnt make us pay for it. long story about how it happened, no time to explain now. but a funny thing about that trip was that while we didnt have to pay for the carpets that we damaged, we were charged for a broken dryer door that we didnt break. it was already broken before we got there! lol. alright, on to no.2. this was a year of Musical Extravaganza yesyes.. the best musical moment of the year was definitely seeing me favouritest band play live. Dashboard Confessional rocks!!! Dusk and Summer is a good album! and all people who dont like dashboard are suckers!!! haha nono just kidding..im not a conversionist. i believe in freedom of music taste. =D but really... this was a very definitive moment of 2006..when i first found out that they were playing in melbourne, i was like..oh man this is a dream come true! really!! and theyre a really good band..they were awesome on stage. great sounds, great voices, great improvisations.. it ended all too soon. i wana watch them againn!! no.3 was the discover of new found love for the snow!! skiing was wooohooooo!! i wana go again! i wana go again!! i wana try boarding the next time!!! no.4 is about yes i love my friends and family =) twelve!! i think often i dont show u guys enough love n appreciation..and often feels like i treat u guys like backup plans right =x im sorrieee i dont mean to.. i'll love u girls more next year ok!! i really dig this new dressing up and going about thing that we've got going on.. haha.. funty!!! still going strong yea. enough shait about funty becoming a legend..its become cliche..way!! haha.. boys!! u all finally go to uni next year!!! woohoo! i dont know why but i feel excited for u guys.. i think its because now we all are doing the same thing again..we're all back in school and school-school is more common than army-school! hahaha ok im crapping already.. i pressed for time.. gota go to zhis house soon and want my dad to give me a lift and so i have to goooooo but before i goo..family yes family!! mum dad karen!! love u guys too!! and now public declaration of romantic love..yes baby i love u tooo!! ok gota go.. none of that philosophical crap from me this time..cos theres no time!hahaha have a reallyy great new year all...2007 will rock! the end of the year is near. which means i have to do my summary of highlights of the year. and its not a particularly easy task! its tideous and painstaking as i first have to recall all the stuff that happened in the past 12 months..then if i happen to think of something i have to think again and make sure it happened this year and not last year. then i write it down, reword it. describe it in some detail, reword it to make it sound nicer, reword it again to make it sound funny if possible, and reword it again in case its too lame..repeat for next event. so i actually dread this yearly post and the past 2 ive written each took me a couple of hours to write. so this is one of those things that you dread to do, yet have to do because you just have to, and at the end of it you will be glad that you did it because the product will be sweet. its really just like an exam or an assignment you have to do. you hate the studying, but u still do it cos u have to , definitely put it off to the last minute, but in the end you still do it well and u get a nice product! well well..some pretty exciting stuff has happened this year, but im not gona talk about it now cos its 1.30am, ive got work tomorrow, i should be packing for the hols and i really wana sleep..but theres no time for this post now..but thats ok cos theres still between after christmas and before new years to get this lengthy post out. till then, chill, peace, have a very happy christmas Thing of the day!!!~shopping with ur best friend! =D
