morbid morbidity capital punishment was one of a few pet topics of mine for gp..i suppose mainly because i had such a strong and decided opinion about it. i support it. and i think its a good thing tt its the penalty for murder and drug trafficking in singapore. that said, there are different methods of capital punishment and which forms of capital punishments are considered humane, and which cross the line and are considered inhumane? ..if u're willing to use the word humane to describe capital punishment hanging,lethal injection, electric chair?.. imo, the electric chair should be phased out for obvious reasons. (anyone watched green mile? even when its done right its still horrendous..) but then u might argue..whatever form of capital punishment is used, it all leads to ultimate death. so what makes one form of capital punishment 'better' than the other? well i say, there is no need to torture the person before he dies, his death is his punishment and there is no necessity for torture. only 'bad guys' torture people and we're really the 'good guys' here... but then the whole morality debate comes into place. what gives u the right to take away someone else's life in the first place? unfortunately for the criminals, the justifications of capital punishment far outweigh whatver right to life the criminal has..deterence, justice, retribution. read this...i agree totally. if this guy gets set free, all the drug lords have to do next time is to find people in a similiar plight as he is to do their dirty work for them. something that im quite sure wont be that hard to do. just dont ever do drugs man. whatever mistakes youre gona commit inevitably in the future..just dont ever let drugs be one of them.. very controversial topic. im not sure whether i should post it. also i think the church is against capital punishment.. =X which is shifty...but ahh ive already written this whole thing..what a waste not to post it. hahaha Thing of the day!!!~ is anyone still in the mood for nice things?hahaha =X food: brunetti's cream puff cake!!

i got to see a roman coin today!!!my college tutor brought a real roman coin fr around 83BC for us to look at n analyse..so we got to look n see n handle a real artifact! not jus peer at it through the glass of a case in some mueseum..n instead of having to use a magnifying glass to check it out we got to bring the coin right up to our noses to inspect it.. haha its actually been the second time in a week tt i got to handle artifacts...the other time was when we went to the university's ian potter museum and we got to handle bits of broken pots n roman lamps..haha.. n one of the students in my group had actually been on an excavation site before..n she was telling us of how these sites are filled with broken bits and pieces jus like e ones we were looking at..so yea its funny how we were all carefully handling the pieces wif gloves and over bean bags when somewhere out there there are fields of broken pots n people are jus walking n stepping all over them... Thing of the day!!!~absolutely nothing. especially not finding out tt i got 4/10 for the prev biology prac... i mean i feel that i certainly did not deserve to fail the prac!!!marks are deducted for mistakes or for stuff tts been left out so its very very easy to lose marks. and so even though i had more things correct than wrong i still failed. bullsh*t. and i hate earthworms. urrrgghhh disecting an earthworm has got to be one of the worst things to do. ever. arghhhhh but i actually kinda like flatworms. they're so cute.. but they're still worms and i dont like worms..so tts too bad for it..i dont think i can ever truly like it.

ramdon random hotmail increased its inbox storage to 25MB. actually..this happened sometime ago already.. which is really cool. my always overflowing inbox is now only 6% filled. i got a stalk of orchids from my bio prac demonstrator on tuesday! ..the one and same prac that i had on the same day i arrived back in melb.. got back to college at about 630am.. had to call the security guard to open the gate for the taxi cos i didnt wana lug the luggage all the way in fr e front gate. and he took sooo long and the taxi meter was jumping.. sheesh.. paid extra few bucks for nth...and i really dont understand why he took so long..cos i called him before i left the airport..so he should have stationed himself at the reception and it wouldn hav taken him 1minute to reach the gate. tsk.. at least he offered to help me with my luggage so i din have to kill myself getting it up the flight of stairs.. hahaha..but i mean like i didnt just let him carry it up himself too..i helped to half carry it..hahaha.. 29kg. so anyway, back to the orchids..our prac was on flowers..and the demonstrator was showing us a few diff types..then he asked if anyone from the groups fr singapore.. and i said i was..so he gave it to me, saying here's a souvenir to remind me of home.. =D so nice right =D hahaha i played tennis in college today! with rachel n jian whey and john.. i hit a ball out of the court, over the fence, and onto the road. but dont give me any credit for it cos i merely reflected john's cowbull strength serve and the thing FLEW. the college racquets are a bit gross =X dinner tonight was either lamb curry or veggie curry. veggie curry sounded more promising but it turned out terrible. it was a pea dalh pasty thing.. very bad. i had cereal for dinner. just had a genetics college tute. we did protists today. i am so lost on the evolution bit of 650-142 genetics and the evolution of life =X damn those classifications. anyway.. we had a quiz thing for todays tute and we were split into 2 groups... there were 5girls, 3 of them were together in the front row.. and 2of us were in e back row with the boys..so i ended up in the boys group. boo. hahaha.. but nevermind. we won! and we got a block of chocolate to share =D the heaters in o-wing were offed again for some reason. and they're finally back on. its not that cold now anymore really.. its spring!! and the college walls are now all green cos of the vines. its quite pretty really.. and there are lots of really colourful flowers around! fantastic weather to play tennis in. haha.. it really just feels like good air con all around. so its not too cold if u just wear jeans and long sleeves. but i got my heater on anyway so i can wear shorts and t-shirt in my room =D my flight home's been confirmed. =D i just left home and now im talking about going back home again. hahaha 16nov 2130 arrival =D tts like only a month a week away!!! goodness. my exams are in a month. 7(F&F),8(Chem),9(Genetics) Nov. 9.15 am. All 3h15mins papers. and 15nov for the rome one. argh. freak me out man. mugger mode please creep up on me soon. a few hours ago it didnt feel like i was gonna take off again the next day..didnt feel like it was really happening.. but now it does.. it feels like im leaving tomorrow and im sad =( why isit that i always sleep so late the night before the day of my flight?! its been such a wonderful two weeks.. i didnt manage to do much(any) school work ..after all the valiant effort of brining back materials to study..haha lol.. but im still completely satisfied with how my time was spent... thanks for the awesome presents twelvies!!! =D i really really love the shirt n poster!! =D thanks for blading with me today..i really appreciate it.. i promise i'll keep my promise and i hope i dont die halfway through it =P hahaha.. today..mj,cj,jacq, carol, biao n me travelled to the far lands in the east for sacred stuff...we all had difficulties to overcome along the way..with what unknown paths to explore, tunnels that were confoundingly useless and stairways to heaven..haha no lah kidding..stairways to nowhere.. carols journey by far the most ardous for fact tt she was alone...but we all ended up victorious! and we were satisfied at the end of the day... i finally soaked my gummy bears! lets see if it turns out like chris null's. right now after about half an hour, the bear has lost its details..like its facial features n limb lines... poor biaos extracting his tooth tomorrow.. =X sho painful.....
